Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 September 2026

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the KEENA mobile app and keena.app (the “Service”), operated by KEENA Social Pty Ltd, based in Sydney, Australia (“KEENA”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Who can use KEENA

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher) to use KEENA. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

Your account

You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login secure. Real-world meetups require trust, so be who you say you are, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Community guidelines

KEENA only works if it stays welcoming and safe. By using the Service you agree to:

  • Be kind and inclusive. KEENA is for everyone. Respect all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Keep it safe. Real-world meetups require trust — be who you say you are.
  • Respect privacy. Never share other members’ personal information or locations.
  • Report concerns. Use the report tools if something feels wrong.

Objectionable content and abusive behaviour

KEENA has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. By using the Service you agree not to post, share, or transmit content that is offensive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable, and not to behave abusively toward other members.

You can flag or report objectionable content and block abusive members at any time from within the app — reporting is available on member profiles, sessions and events, groups, and individual chat messages. Blocking a member removes their content from your feed immediately, stops them contacting you, and alerts us to review the content.

We review all reports and will remove objectionable content and eject the offending member within 24 hours. Violations may result in the immediate removal of your content and termination of your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, or discriminate against other members.
  • Post unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.
  • Use the Service to spam, scrape, or collect other members’ data.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to KEENA, such as your profile details and photos. You grant us a limited licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You’re responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the rights to share it.

Meetups and your safety

KEENA helps you organise real-world sessions and events, but those meetups happen offline and between members. KEENA does not vet members and is not responsible for the conduct of any member or the safety of any meetup. Use your judgement, meet in public where possible, and take the same precautions you would when meeting anyone new. You take part in activities and meetups at your own risk.

Subscriptions and payments

KEENA may offer paid features. Where purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, they are billed by that store and subject to its terms; manage or cancel subscriptions through your store account. Unless required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using KEENA and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these Terms or the community guidelines, or to protect members or the Service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, KEENA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
